If you think your charity or project is one that we would consider, please read through the following information
AGCF is able to make grants from three separate funds depending upon the nature of the project:
-
The Irish Church Fund, for Roman Catholic charities across the Republic of Ireland.
-
The British Church Fund, for Roman Catholic charities across England, Wales and the Isle of Man.
-
The General Fund, from which grants are given to various projects related to one or more of our funding priorities across England, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Republic of Ireland.
Please note, applications submitted now will be considered at our February 2027 trustee meeting, for project costs incurred from the 1st of March 2027.
When deciding whether or not you may be eligible to apply for funding, please consider the following questions

Are you thinking of applying to us?
It is important to note that before your application for funding can be considered, you must first prove to be eligible.
Before going any further, please read and understand our funding criteria and exclusions, listed above and on our Frequently Asked Questions page.
If you are confident in your organisation’s eligibility, please select the correct link below. This will take you to the appropriate application form. The first section of this form includes an eligibility questionnaire that you must pass in order to be considered for funding.
As this is an in depth form and can be quite time consuming, please ensure that you are truthful and accurate when completing the eligibility questionnaire so that you do not waste your own time.
Once you have provided us with a completed application form, a member of our Grants Team will review your submission. Due to the volume of approaches we receive we are not able to provide feedback on unsuccessful submissions. If you have made a submission and have not received a response from us after four weeks, regrettably, you are not eligible to apply to us for funding.
If your project proves to be eligible for funding, you will be notified and next steps will be discussed with you. When we have discussed your application with you, it will be put forward to our next available Grants Meeting for a decision. This process may also include a project visit from one of our trustees.
